A native of Florida, Mr. Lynch moved to Arkansas to attend Hendrix College and, later, the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville. Mr. Lynch has worked with and against some of the top firms and companies in the country, having spent most of the first 15 years of his career in Dallas, Texas, where he initially litigated complex tort and business cases, before moving in-house and becoming the long-time Vice President of Legal, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Rug Doctor, LLC, a leading international manufacturer and distributor of carpet cleaning appliances and chemicals, with operations in all fifty states, subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany, and manufacturing partners throughout the world.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Lynch owns two other successful businesses, which gives him a unique perspective on the daily challenges faced by employers and human resource professionals. He has considerable experience advising clients on a wide variety of employment-related matters, including employment-related agreements, terminations, wage and hour issues, personnel and leave policies, benefits, insurance, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. He assists clients in preparing or updating employment agreements, executive compensation agreements, non-compete agreements, personnel policies, and handbooks, all of which help protect businesses against a variety of employment claims.
Mr. Lynch also provides outside general counsel and corporate secretary services to businesses that do not need or cannot afford a full-time in-house attorney, but that regularly need legal advice. As an outside general counsel, Mr. Lynch serves as the legal advisor to companies and their employees and helps them spot potential legal issues, provides guidance and advice to executives and other managers, and acts as the primary point of contact for legal issues facing the company, including matters related to contracts, corporate governance, compliance, fiduciary duties of officers and directors, state and federal regulatory questions, claims, litigation and risk management.
